3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to operate the Task Management App:

• Authenticate and manage your account
• Assign and track tasks across your team
• Send push notifications, email alerts, and WhatsApp messages for task assignments, status updates, and reminders you set
• Maintain activity logs for accountability within your organisation

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the task management service.

4. WhatsApp Messaging

We use the WhatsApp Business Cloud API (provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to send task-related notifications and reminders to your registered phone number.

• Messages are sent only for events you are involved in (task assignments, reminders you set)
• Your phone number is shared with Meta solely for the purpose of message delivery
• We do not send marketing or promotional messages via WhatsApp
• You can opt out of WhatsApp notifications by removing your phone number from your profile

5. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on secured servers hosted on cPanel hosting infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted HTTPS connections for all data transmission
• Hashed passwords (bcrypt) — plain-text passwords are never stored
• JWT-based authentication with token expiry
• Access controls — users can only view data relevant to them

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We share data only with:

• Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — phone number and message content, solely for notification delivery
• Firebase (Google) — device FCM token, solely for push notification delivery

Both services are used strictly for their stated notification delivery purpose.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If your account is deactivated, your personal data may be retained for up to 90 days before deletion, unless required otherwise by law.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of WhatsApp notifications by removing your phone number from your profile
